A tour of the Testmode app
Find your way around Testmode: the organization menu and project switcher, the sidebar’s test pages and Self-driving section, the header’s Ask and Run test, Overview, search and keyboard shortcuts.
Testmode has one sidebar on the left and a header on top. Everything you see belongs to the current project, chosen near the top of the sidebar.
The sidebar
Section titled “The sidebar”From top to bottom:

| Organization | The current organization and its plan, for example Pro. Click for the organization menu. |
| Project switcher | The current project. Click to switch, search, or create one. |
| Search | Finds test cases, plans, runs, Inbox items, screens and more in every project of the organization, and runs commands (CmdK). |
| Overview | The project at a glance: pass rate, activity, recent runs. |
| Test cases | Every test case, with search, filters and who changed it last. |
| Test plans | Groups of test cases and their schedules. |
| Runs | Every run, newest first. |
| Findings | What testing found in your app, with a count of what needs someone. |
| Self-driving | Its state (On, Exploring, Off…) and a gear for its settings, then Inbox (with a count of what waits for you), Activity and Map. |
| Settings | The project’s details, environments, credentials, variables and API keys. |
| You (bottom) | Your name and email. Click for Profile, Dark mode and Sign out. |
CmdB hides and shows the sidebar.
Organization menu and project switcher
Section titled “Organization menu and project switcher”Click the organization’s name at the top of the sidebar. The menu shows the organization’s credits left and your role in it, Organization settings (Owners and Admins), the other organizations you belong to, each with your role there, and New organization.
The project switcher below it lists the organization’s projects, with a search field and Create project.
The header
Section titled “The header”The header shows where you are, Ask, which opens the assistant beside the page (CmdJ), and Run test, which opens the Run tests dialog from any page (CmdR). On some pages it has more, such as Edit test case on a test’s results or Ask about this on an Inbox item.
Overview
Section titled “Overview”The project at a glance:
- Pass rate of the tests of the last 7 days, with how many failed.
- Weekly activity: runs per day, passed and failed.
- Recent runs, with View all to open Runs.
Keyboard first
Section titled “Keyboard first”Press CmdK to search and jump anywhere, and ? for every shortcut. G followed by a letter jumps to a page: G T for Test cases, G I for the Inbox. See Keyboard shortcuts.
